The Barnyard

Not that you can tell, but this handsome fellow, Hank, has some really long ears. So does his best pal Jedediah Donkey.  Thus the name of our small farm...of course, the goats have long ears too...

  • We like to think of Elvis as the mayor of the barnyard. He's a free-ranging, free-thinking pot belly cross who generally has something to say about everything. He loves belly scratches, mud and food of any kind. He hates nail trims, and anyone who awakens him from a nap.

Although we breed the wee goaties, they're just one part of our farm operation. There are the donkeys, first residents of the farm and most likely to be doing something naughty, like opening the gates and letting everyone out. There is usually at least one horse, Daisy, our long-time boarder and all around good-natured quarter horse. There are rabbits, for fiber and cuteness, and two barn cats for rodent control (too bad only one of them actually does anything useful). And of course there are lots and lots of chickens.
